If anyone knows London's best-kept secrets, it's Frances Phillips. From gallery visits that spark creativity to the perfect cold brew, candlelit dinners and hidden wine bars, Frances has quietly curated a life in the city that feels as effortless as her style. Here, she takes us on a tour of her favourite neighbourhood haunts - the places she returns to again and again, and a few gems she's generously willing to share.
You live in London - what do you love most about your neighbourhood?
Where I live is very green, which I’m so grateful for. My area almost has a village feel despite being in the city.
What’s your go-to spot to get inspired?
Either the V&A or the Saatchi Gallery. I recently went to the Schiaparelli exhibition at the V&A, which I loved!
Best place for coffee?
Café Leon Dore does the best cold brew coffee, which is very hard to come across in London.
What’s your favourite place for a low-key lunch with friends?
The Hart in Marylebone.
And for a romantic dinner/drinks?
Luca in Clerkenwell, Noble Rot on Lambs Conduit Street or Martino’s in Chelsea. The Dover in Mayfair does the best martinis!
Any shops we absolutely can’t miss?
I’m not much of an in-person shopper as I usually think about a purchase for a while before committing to it. That being said, Harvey Nichols and Liberty are my favourite stores to browse. Alex Eagle always has the coolest stuff too. For beauty, I love Oh My Cream!

Best place for a good sweat?
The infrared sauna at Oh My Cream!
And for self-care?
Rebase for wellness & Pfeffer Sal for all things skin. I also love Re:Mind for a sound bath.
Any hidden gems that you’d like to share with us?
The Wine Bar below Farm Shop in Mayfair is so cute! Also, Comptoir Mayfair is my go-to spot in town. It’s very relaxed and has a Parisian style terrace that isn’t common in London.
You can get coffee there during the day or wine and cheese in the evening - it’s such a good spot for people watching.
It’s also the place Lea and I first met and dreamed up the Frances dress!
