This month, we sat down with arkitaip muse Francesca Saffari, a talented London-based content creator known for her effortless style. Francesca and I met a few months ago in London and we immediately clicked. As she prepares for an exciting new chapter in her life with a growing family, we’re eager to dive into her thoughts on fashion, her daily routine, and the importance of living consciously.
Hi Francesca, how are you? I’m so excited to chat with you today! Could you share a brief introduction to your world?
Of course! I’m a London based content creator, I share my style and lifestyle on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
You’re expecting a new addition to the family (so exciting!) - do you think this will change your approach to style and getting dressed?
No, I don’t think so. My style has remained the same throughout pregnancy; however, I have definitely adapted certain elements of it. For example, I’ve always been a huge fan of oversized, androgynous pieces, but during the late second and third trimesters, I found it more flattering to opt for pieces that either hugged or showed off the bump, as opposed to covering it with oversized items.
How do you start your day? Do you have a morning routine?
I always start my day with a good breakfast and my supplements. This is something I’ve been much better at during pregnancy, as I’ve become more conscious about ensuring both myself and the baby are getting the right vitamins and nutrients.
What does sustainability mean to you? How important is it in your everyday life?
Being conscious of how we live and what we consume, as well as the impact it has on the environment, is important to me.
I try to incorporate small, sustainable habits into my daily routine to reduce my environmental footprint. For instance, I often choose to shop second-hand instead of buying new, and I frequently resell items on platforms like Vinted to extend their life cycle.
The three things I think about when I get dressed are:
Silhouettes. Tones. Feeling true to myself.
What’s your go-to timeless outfit?
Can’t beat a good pair of jeans and a oversized leather jacket.
How would you style your favourite linen piece for the colder months of the year?
I think linen trousers look great styled with knitwear, or linen dresses worn with a long-sleeve top underneath, paired with socks, trainers, and a jacket layered over.
What are you currently reading/watching/listening to?
Reading: I just finished Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano which I loved. I also read Dolly Alderton’s Good Material whilst on holiday which I’d highly recommend too.
Watching: the new season of Slow Horses on Apple TV (so good!) and just I finished Nobody Wants This on Netflix.
Listening to: I’m a huge fan of podcasts, my go-to are political podcasts, favourites are The Rest is Politics and The News Agents.
Where or what is your escape?
Reformer pilates for my mind and body.
The Cyclades Islands - my forever favourite holiday destination.
Home with my husband and cats is my ultimate comfort zone.
Lastly, what are your three favourite arkitaip-pieces?
Very hard to choose, but of the current new in section, these are my favourites:
